An open book in Antwerp

Laura Accerboni

Everything about you, by Laura Accerboni
(First published in Poetry International Web, 2016)

Everything about you
is friendly and perfect.
If I were someone
I would purchase
your eyes,
if I had a house
I would use you as an antenna
to stalk my neighbours.
I would become
respectable and good
If I only had your back,
straight as a man’s,
buying new clothes
and always in the limelight
noticeably made up.

Andre Rudolph

("Those daughters", by Andre Rudolph. Published in Versopolis.com.)

those daughters are windows of mothers’ houses, through
which they glance outside;
those sons are strings, in tune
with their fathers – all of them looking
a little strung out.
those stepmothers’ pansies are in fact
ugly, in their boxes on balconies
outside (even as an allegory); “someone
ought to do some digging over here.”
chalices of petals cite angels
and bees – saturdays when
beetles are grooming the house
is filled with the scent of chitin

Han första dikter publicerades 2006 i publikationer såsom Pyro (Editions du Grand Incendie), Avel IX, Bacchanales, Borborygmes, Commune, La Passe, Le Sabord, Sarrazine och Voix d'encre. Källa: Versopolis

Yekta

Internal rhyme, by Yekta
(
Published in Versopolis.com.)

at every page its aspect changes
its mouth always has the dark charm
of proffered lips of shared saliva
it mostly shows teeth mined by silence
and the white throat of those who inhale the wind
it pants like a dying marathon runner
breathes like hell’s ambassador
its singular voice has only my heart
to be born and disappear in a brief shipwreck
on the reef of sentences where time bleeds
where the soul unfolds where the being is armed
I alone make it speak as a nameless friend
in the darkness of an empty room
but its tongue is the flame of a sacred fire whiplash storm
and if on the book I nod off the poem invades
my dreams like a memory from long ago
and if I leave the book open on the table
and I stand up the poem follows me with its gaze
