Jag börjar med att presentera en norrländsk låtskrivare. Frida Hyvönen, född 1977 i Robertsfors, är en svensk singer-songwriter och artist. Hon tilldelades Nöjesguidens musikpris 2005, samma år som hon släppte sin debutskiva Until Death Comes. 2006 släpptes samma skiva i Europa och USA. I början av 2007 kom albumet Frida Hyvönen Gives You: Music from the Dance Performance Pudel, vilket den 29 oktober 2008 följdes upp med Silence is wild. 2009 kom "Drottninglandet", ett samarbete i bok/skivform med fotografen Elin Berge.

Rosie Thomas, född 1978 i Livonia, Michigan, är en amerikansk singer/songwriter och ståuppkomiker. Genom gemensamma vänner träffade hon Trey Many och tillsammans började de spela i bandet Velour 100. Bandet spelade in en EP och gjorde några få korta turnéer, på vilka hon kom i kontakt med Damien Jurado och Pedro the Lion. Därefter flyttade hon till Seattle för att gå på Cornish College. Efter detta bestämde hon sig för att satsa på en solokarriär. Debutalbumet When We Were Small släpptes den 22 januari 2001.

Paloma Faith (Paloma Faith Bloomfield), född 21 juli 1981 i Hackney, London, Storbritannien, är en brittisk sångerska. Hon är en av flera sångerskor under 2000-talets slut som inspirerats av äldre soul, jazz och R&B-musik och hon har angett Etta James och Billie Holiday som stora inspirationskällor.
Paloma Faith fick skivkontrakt på Epic Records och släppte sin första singel Stone Cold Sober i mitten av 2009. Låten handlar om att vara den enda nyktra personen på en fest. Singeln var framgångsrik i Storbritannien där den nådde #17 på singellistan.
