Ikväll delar jag ut priserna för Årets Översättare och Årets Webbplats. I min inspelade film presenteras kandidaterna och den slutliga vinnaren av översättarutmärkelsen. Men först en titt på tre webbplatser för poesi.

Kandidat 1:
Words Dance Publishing (Producent: Amanda Oaks)
"Words Dance has been spreading poetry since 2003 in an array of mediums. It started as a quarterly webzine & every issue was freely accessible on the web. In 2005, after the 6th issue, founder Amanda Oaks made the decision to steer it into a print magazine & start her own press : Verve Bath Press (which has now morphed into Words Dance Publishing.) Turning out a journal packed with some of the finest poetry of our day was awesome, but she still had an itch, she wanted to strengthen Verve Bath’s arsenal, so she took to creating handmade chapbooks & in 2013 those evolved into full-length perfect bound books! Words Dance has carved out a space in small press history & we are looking forward to what the future will unfold."

Kandidat 2:
Sveriges Radio - Dagens dikt (Producent: Lena Birgersdotter)
"Dagens dikt är ett av Sveriges Radios äldsta program med 100 000 dagliga lyssnare. Bland tidigare producenter finns poeterna Willy Granqvist och Carl Magnus von Seth. Nuvarande producent är Lena Birgersdotter Sveriges Radio Malmö."

Kandidat 3:
Forward Arts Foundation (Producent: Susannah Herbert)
"Forward Arts Foundation was created in 1991 by William Sieghart. A poetry-lover, he wanted an anthology containing the best poetry of the year. Since none existed, in 1992, he published one himself
The contents of the first Forward Book of Poetry were chosen over 1991/1992 by the five judges of the first Forward Prizes for Poetry, including Sir Stephen Spender, Margaret Drabble and Roger McGough. The Forward Book and Forward Prizes attracted both people who did not know where to begin with contemporary poetry, and die-hard poetry readers. The Forward Prizes’ power to make reputations was compared to that of the Booker Prize.
In 1994, Sieghart founded National Poetry Day, a day of mass celebration of all things poetical which was taken up enthusiastically by schools, factories, offices and even railway stations. Last year, it reached over 500 million people, largely through Twitter and social media, where the hashtage #nationalpoetryday and the invitation to share a poem proved a winning combination."
