Extraordinär!

Jag har redan kungjort på den här bloggen att jag tycker att poesi handlar väldigt mycket om uppfinningsrikedom. Detsamma kan sägas om kompositörens arbete med sin musik. Den här fredagen presenterar jag tre sånger av en verklig jazzinnovatör, Lina Nyberg.

Lina Nyberg (f. 1970), föddes i Stockholm och växte upp i ett konstnärligt hem. Hon började sjunga med jazzband i 18-årsåldern. Två år senare bildade hon sin egen kvintett. Och vilken grupp sen ... Per "Texas" Johansson, Esbjörn Svensson, Dan Berglund och Mikel Ulfberg. Källa: linanyberg.se

Än en gång blir ni läsare påminda om Esbjörn Svenssons talang och hans betydelse för svensk jazz. För två veckor sedan gällde det hans produktion av Viktoria Tolstoys "White Russian". 

Men kvällens sånger är Linas egna och hämtade från skivorna "So many stars" (1996), och "Time" (2003).

Vi behöver svalka av oss. Det regnar bokstavligen floder i Lina Nybergs sista session hos Poetry with Blues. Improvisationer och små visslingar ger lyssnarna en fond byggd på glädje. Håll i minnet att hennes första skiva kom 1993 och att det hittills har blivit 16 album.
